S9E9: You’ll Love these Florals with Your Heart and Sola

Let's reimagine the “traditional” pieces of your wedding.

There are so many things we hear during the planning process from the people we love, the things we read, and just society in general.

But, you really don’t need to do anything you don’t want to - and you can adjust any piece of your wedding to celebrate in a way that feels right to YOU.

Katie Wood joins me to dish about wooden arrangements. From bouquets to wreaths and floral crowns, and far beyond!

Guest: Katie Wood, Heart and Sola Creations

This week, we’re dishing about…

  • Why personalizing arrangements can be so special for couples.

  • Some of the ways Katie has reimagined bouquets.

  • Things couples can include in Heart and Sola Creation arrangements that make them customized and personal.

  • Why Katie is so passionate about helping couples infuse their personalities into their wedding day.

  • … and more!

Meet Katie

With a background in art and design, and a passion for helping people express their individuality, Katie is a one-of-a-kind floral designer. When creating a custom arrangement of wood flowers for a wedding, she brings creativity, artistry, and a personalized touch to every project.

“I love reimagining wedding traditions by creating personalized florals for modern couples! Encouraging couples to include things they love into their actual flowers to further customize their special day. I've created many custom flowers using keepsakes and unique themes. In the graphics, you'll see flowers that I painted as a galaxy to fit into a subtle "May the Fourth Be With You" Star Wars themed wedding. Also, there are flowers that have jewel centers. Those centers were created by taking pieces of the bride's mother's bridal veil and creating brooch-like centers. I have also taken the brim of a bride's mom's bridal hat & used it to wrap the bouquet handle, as well as the same bride's grandmother's earrings into flower centers. I've even created bouquets with roses made of book pages for Harry Potter & Beauty and the Beast-themed weddings.” - Katie, Heart and Sola Creations
