S5E12: Personalize Your Wedding Ceremony | Wedding Pro

When it comes to personalizing wedding ceremonies, we often think of writing our own vows, customizing the unity celebration, or choosing readings that mean something personal to us.

Maybe we even think of having someone close to us perform the ceremony.

But, the options are truly limitless! Allie the Wedding Officiant shares stories of how her couples have created truly unique celebrations in this week's episode.

Business Details

How long have you been in business?

Since July 2021

What areas do you serve?

Primarily in Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex but willing to travel anywhere in Texas and the US nation.

Why did you decide to start your own business?

I've always wanted to start my own business, I just didn't know what I wanted to do. Then during 2020, I kept thinking how cool it would be to officiate weddings for friends and family. The thought would later progress into a business idea and plan!

What's the coolest thing about owning your own business?

Getting to make all the decisions!

What is a topic that you feel you could offer a unique perspective in — either to engaged couples or wedding professionals/entrepreneurs?

- unique unity ceremony rituals (would enjoy talking about this the most)

- vow writing/ vow renewals

- what to look for in an officiant

- why start an officiant business

What insight would you like to offer about this topic?

Unity ceremony rituals don't have to be stale or boring!

Your Daily Life

What is daily life like in your household?

Working out, day job, take care of Peppermint, and then spend couple of hours working on wedding business. Repeat!

Are there any challenges or obstacles that you've had to overcome?

Figuring out a price point.

Your Future Wedding

What does your future wedding look like?

Micro-wedding in either Las Vegas, Portland, the desert, or in the mountains. Currently, I envision a disco, retro vibe. Also, I want to have a virtual component added so that I can invite anybody and everybody.

Have anything specific to share about your future wedding?

My mother has made me promise that I won't elope at a Buc-ee's or Taco Bell.
