S7E13: Why You Need a Timeline Sooner Than You Think
Your wedding timeline ensures that your day runs smoothly.
It's the roadmap for your vendors; it contains vital information about lighting, location, and more.
And, there are a lot of pieces that you, as a couple planning a wedding for the first time, might not know to include.
This week, we're diving deep and sharing all the moving parts you need to consider when building your timeline.
The timeline is perhaps the most important, yet often most ignored, part of wedding planning. It should be the first thing you do before you hire any vendor.
Guest: Hooman, Wedding Day Timeline
This week, we’re dishing about…
What is a timeline?
Why you need a timeline
When you need a timeline
What should be included in your timeline
… and more!
Meet Hooman!
I'm a wedding photographer based in North Carolina and photographing wedding throughout the country as well as international destination weddings. I am also the founder of Wedding Day Timeline, a new website and service designed for couples to help them plan their weddings by creating a custom, professional minute-by-minute timeline for their wedding day.
Business Details…
How long have you been in business? Photography 17 years. Timeline just launched.
What areas do you serve? USA, Canada - the site will work globally
Why did you decide to start your own business?
Over the years I saw the wedding day timeline was one of the biggest stressors, and least talked about and addressed parts of wedding planning. It causes couples of all types of weddings (big, small, regardless of location or style) frustration, stress, preventing couples from having the true experience they want, lots of compromises on the wedding day, and unexpected financial loss. Free templates simply don't work and I was surprised nothing existed that allowed couples to plan a wedding. So I made the tool I would want, in a way that solves the problems I see on a weekly basis.
