Business Info

How long have you been in business? Since 2013

What areas do you serve? Southern California + Destinations

Why did you decide to start your own business?

Honestly, I kind of just fell into it. I was "that friend" who planned everything - all the parties, everyone's weddings, etc. When it was time for me to get married, I hired a planner in Philly, and she encouraged me to take my hobby/side hustle seriously.

What's the coolest thing about owning your own business?

So many things! But mostly I love the freedom it gives me - financial, location, how I spend my time, etc.

Your Wedding

What, if anything, would you change about your wedding?

We should have hired a videographer. And not kept special things a big secret, because one of them got ruined because not enough people knew about it.

How did you choose your wedding vendors?

Lots of internet searches, and through my wedding planner.

What advice could you offer to engaged couples planning their wedding - as both a wedding professional and a married human?

Hired professional, skilled, and kind humans...and then let them do their job. Try your best not to micro-manage them and understand that the best work comes when you trust them and collaborate with them.

What was the most important decision you made about your wedding?

Where to have it! Even though we live in LA (and met here), when we were deciding where to get married, we decided on the East Coast - where we are both from. It was way more work to have a destination wedding, but it was so worth it in the end.
