S6E7: Wedding Shifts + Trends with Love Inc.
“As a wedding magazine editor, I have a birds' eye view of wedding trends that are happening around the country.
Some of those "trends" are indeed shifts, meaning they're sticking around for awhile.”
This week, we’re dishing about wedding shifts and trends in 2022-2023. 🎉
What's the difference between a trend and a shift? We've seen a lot of changes since 2020. From the way we celebrate to who we celebrate with to what we prioritize when planning weddings.
Brittny defines shifts as changes that are going to be sticking around for years and years (maybe even forever), while trends may have a shorter shelf life. We're dishing about all of the newest trends - and the coolest shifts - on The Wedding Dish this week!

Meet Love Inc.
How long have you been in business?
Almost 9 years
What areas do you serve?
U.S., nationwide
Why did you decide to start your own business?
I started Love Inc. when I realized just how heteronormative the wedding industry was, and there was no wedding planning resource that created content that was truly inclusive of both LGBTQ+ and hetero couples equally.
What's the coolest thing about owning your own business?
Hearing couples' love stories, and the special details and moments of their day that made it special -- it never gets old!
2022 Trends
As a wedding magazine editor, I have a birds' eye view of wedding trends that are happening around the country.
2022 wedding trends are so interesting and so very unique, because unlike other years in which trends organically grow, they are built around ideas that were created out of necessity from the pandemic, but are sticking around because people love them. And some of those "trends" are indeed shifts, meaning they're sticking around for awhile, while others will fizzle out in a year or so.
What insight would you like to offer about 2022 trends?
2022 wedding trends are so interesting and so very unique, because unlike other years in which trends organically grow, they are built around ideas that were created out of necessity from the pandemic, but are sticking around because people love them.
Behind-the-Scenes
What is daily life like in your household?
Chaotic! I have a four-year-old and 18-month-old twins, so I stay extremely busy outside of work hours. We're lucky that we have a great daycare that they go to so I have full work days to run my business.
